CS BRIGADA ESKWELA UPDATE!
Yesterday, on August 23, 2023, the MIS-ACES and the four student councils—the EMC Student Council, IT Student Council, IS Student Council, and CS Student Council—came together to conduct Brigada Eskwela for the upcoming school year. The Computer Science (CS) Council focused on three aspects to successfully carry out the Brigada Eskwela: cleanliness, restoration, and creation.
The team removed chairs and thoroughly cleaned the room during the cleaning phase. Ceiling fans were cleaned, windows and boards were dusted, and the floor was swept and mopped. Following the cleaning, the team proceeded with the restoration of the room. The council repainted the classroom, fixed the curtains, and addressed wire slots. For the final phase, which was designed, the team created a 3D "BSCS" sign using puzzle mats and letter stencils in the CS department's signature colors: black and gold. This sign was placed on top of the board. Finally, the team arranged the chairs and gave the floor a final sweep.
Now, let's delve into the financial report of our successful endeavor
managed by CS Council Treasurer Oscar Chin III.

It's worth noting that the success of this event was only possible with the careful management of our resources. Our financial report demonstrates the dedication of the CS Council and the collaborative spirit of all student councils involved. It showcases the effective utilization of contributions, aligning with our commitment to transparency and accountability. The remaining balance indicated in the financial report will be allocated for future events and activities of the CS Council, ensuring a continuous impact on our department's initiatives.
As we reflect on the culmination of our efforts, we extend our sincere appreciation to the EMC, IT, IS, and CS student councils, MIS-ACES, President Mhel Christine Dueñas—who conducted a Brigada—and each student council president for their invaluable contributions. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes out to our BSCS program head Coordinator, Prof. Joemen Barrios, for her unwavering support, guidance, and leadership that have been integral to the success of this initiative. Together, we've revitalized our learning environment and set a commendable example of teamwork and responsible stewardship.
